GrocerSmart ("we", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.
When you create an account, we collect your email address, name, and password (stored securely using bcrypt hashing). When you use the app, we collect your location (to find nearby stores), dietary preferences, meal plan selections, and grocery list data. Payment information is processed by Stripe and never stored on our servers.
We use your information to provide the GrocerSmart service: finding deals at stores near you, generating meal plans based on your preferences, and managing your subscription. We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties for marketing.
We use Stripe for payment processing, Flipp for grocery deal data, and OpenStreetMap for store location data. Each has their own privacy policies.
Your data is stored on secure servers in Canada. Passwords are hashed using bcrypt. All connections are encrypted using TLS/SSL. You can request deletion of your account and data at any time.
